So long country rooster and faux distressed black paint.
Sweet.
I used some black paint I had on hand to fill in the scuffs on the frame to give it a more unified and less country look. Then after trimming a little bit of houndstooth fabric to size, I Mod Podged the piece over the corkboard area. To cover the rooster, I used a piece of craft paper and simply glued it over top. After hanging my new inspiration board on the wall I felt the blue side needed a little something. In came my thrift store silhouette and it was perfect, hung by its ribbon to a nail above the wall. And here's the After:
You can see where I brushed the Mod Podge over the fabric, but it wasn't a problem
since most of the surface would be covered anyways.
Like so.
What's inspiring me lately: everything from the new Dwell Studio catalogue; teals, tans, and black.
And the view from my seat:
I may still continue to fill up this wall, gallery-style, but for now I'm loving the new addition and can't wait to switch things up as they inspire me. Anyone else have a similar inspiration board of their own? Or maybe you keep your photos filed away in a binder? I have one of those too...
