Come Monday I went to my local Target only to find that their home collection hadn't come in yet and even when it did the items would be on Limited Availability. I checked online that night and the pouf wasn't even available for purchase since it was Out of Stock. I called two other Targets close by and one did not have the home items yet and the other sold out of the poufs within hours on Sunday the 1st (!).
Yesterday I posted about my pouf-acquiring woes, telling my tale of this elusive silver pouf.
Then something awesome happened. I checked my Facebook after work and saw this:
My heart just about skipped a beat as I read that one of those silver poufs was sitting in a Target just waiting for me to go get it and bring it home. Marcella (the girl with the Awesome Afters kitchen makeover and the photography business) was so sweet to let me know! I quickly called the Target to see if the poufs were still available and by some chance both of them were. After requesting one to be put on hold (and seriously debating buying both and then telling myself to not be so greedy), I shot Dan a quick text that he was on his own for dinner and hopped in the car without even thinking twice. And just like that, about an hour later this beauty was in my arms (literally-this thing is huge):
Safe and secure in the passenger seat, I drove home with a huge grin on my face and may or may not have had my arm resting on it the whole way back. Surprisingly it is even better in person that I had imagined. The material is very thick and looks like aged and creased leather with substantial side stitching and a beautiful stitched flower motif on top.
Needless to say it was love at first sight and totally worth the spontaneous hour long road trip.
More pics to come soon after I settle her in.
