I thought I might hang them opposite my new dashing matador, but I actually decided on a different plan of attack for that bare wall. So stay tuned for that goodness...
Instead I looked to another area of the room to showcase my new framed finds.
After doing some much needed bookcase tweaking, I came up with this look and was able to keep the frames as they are (for now) and add a little interest to the bookcase.
And just to refresh your memory, here's how things were looking ever since we moved the bookcase out of the dining room and into the living room:
And of course we need to do a little side-by-side for better comparison:
It's pretty interesting if you click that bookcase-switch link you can see what our living room used to look like just a few short months ago. My style seems to be evolving into an almost masculine-eclectic vibe that I never actually planned and am sort of surprised at. Nonetheless I'm excited to see how it will change even more over time.
Anyone else noticing their style evolving as they grow into their spaces?
P.S. On a totally unrelated note... I went to my local Target yesterday and their Calypso Home line wasn't in stock yet. So I went on to the Target website to see if it would tell me when my store would be getting it and I saw that the metallic pouf I've been wanting is already either Sold Out or on Limited Availability! Crazy because the line just came out on Sunday... I guess I will have to just be patient.
