Rudolph The Red Nosed Mailbox

After having a little debate over what to do about our front porch/mailbox situation, I've decided to go with Option #2: Paint the mailbox and add a nickel toe kick. Well half of that makeover is complete, so without further adieu, here's a little before, during, and after action for ya:

Needless to say, I love the red mailbox, like our house put on her candy apple lipstick for a night on the town. And like a friend of ours said, now we can guide guests to our house by telling them, "We're the house on the right with the red mailbox." How fun is that? 

There's still more to do to the front, like replacing the awning, cleaning up the jungle of shrubbery, and adding the toe kick but I think we've made a significant improvement and I believe our neighbors will enjoy the mini facelift as much as we do.
