The Best Worst Paint Job

Yup you read that correctly. This is the best worst paint job I've ever done. Allow me to break it down for you. Ever since we took everything out of the office (including the carpet) we were left with a bare echo-y room that showed all its imperfections with nothing to hide the shame. And since I spent quite a bit of time in this room (since it has the computer) I just couldn't take looking at all the ugliness any longer. The thing that caught my eye specifically every time I walked in was the hideous line left behind on the trim where the carpet used to be. (Oh and feel free to take note of what bad shape the original floors are in just in case you were wondering why we'd hide them in the first place) Now here's why it was the best worst paint job:

It was the Best because I was able to finally paint (and hide) this:

Ew. I used my trusty can of Behr's off-the-shelf Ultra Pure White...

and it was the Worst because in the end the trim looked like this:

Now back to the Best part: I was able to be as messy and careless as I wanted on the trim because both of the things surrounding it were not staying: the floors are being replaced and the walls will be re-painted. Now when I go to paint the walls I will just cut in like normal with my handy-dandy 2" Purdy angled brush and get those nice crisp lines against all the white trim. It really is a win-win in my book. Now if only I could decide on a color...
