Free Kitchen Art

Magazines are always a great resource for beautiful free art and once the image is behind glass no one would ever know you didn't pay good money for that art. My new kitchen art came from one of my dad's Saveur magazines, a glossy that features delicious foods from around the world always perfectly photographed. That magazine just proves the saying that you eat with your eyes first.

Enter our newest addition: a whole page on mushrooms in all their different sizes and colors. I used my Ribba frame's mat to select the area I liked best...

...and popped it on the wall in our kitchen.

And just like that I added a little earthy interest and texture to our all white kitchen. I also like to think it helps to balance out all the cool modern stainless steel. Have any of you ever framed something from a magazine?
