We have this desk. It's main function for the past, well, forever, is to collect junk. You've all seen our entryway by now and how I love to mix things up and even decorate for the holidays. What you haven't seen much of is the parsons desk that sits directly across from it between our dining room and the hallway, right under the staircase.
I finally got fed up with coming home to this everyday:
I knew something had to be done to keep the clutter in check once and for all! A lot of little things seemed to accumulate so I knew I needed a solution to keep all the little things organized. I've had these two white metal containers for months after scoring them at Michael's for super cheap. To make things even more functional and easy to maintain I picked up a pack of Martha Stewart's chalkboard labels from Staples. Let me tell you, theses things are awesome!
The chalk writes nice and smoothly and is easily erased without leaving any dusty residue. They're also removable so if I ever needed to peel them off and put them on another container I could easily do so. The pack comes with 12 labels though so I will definitely be finding places for the other 10 first!
All of my little doo-dads are in the "ends" container and Dan gets the "odds"
for obvious reasons...
Ahh, a much better view to come home to.
