Basically, we've been having fun and enjoying the Summer while it lasted. One of my favorite things to do when we go out on all these fun trips is to find little souvenirs to remember them by.
For example, when we were in Wildwood there were a bunch of horse shoe crabs in the water and just as many washed up on shore completely dried out. I picked up this tiny little guy and popped him behind a Ribba frame to remind me of that fun weekend.
At two beaches and a river I collected stones to display on our coffee table.
Whenever I see them I'm reminded of how much fun it was to carefully select each one.
A few more lingering touches of summer weren't collected outside but they'll still hang around a bit longer until the nights start getting crisp and I'm dying to pull out the plaid. Three starfish from Michael's sit perched on the doorway between the dining room and kitchen...
...and the coral on the built-ins will definitely be staying around.
How about you guys? When do you officially make the switch to Fall with your decor? Are you grasping onto the last warm days of Summer or are you (like me) welcoming Fall with open arms?
