It's The {Second} Most Wonderful Time of The Year

Hey there and Happy Monday. Let's just be honest: I hit a lull. Every day I would come home from work and the daylight was already diminishing made taking any nighttime photos nearly impossible and took a toll on my creativity as well. I was just not feeling any sort of project so I took a little time off. I'm allowed, no? But now I'm back and ready to share with you a few things I've been up to. Fall is truly my most favorite season and it is just such a wonderful time of the year so I'm kind of sad that I didn't get to share the past couple weeks with you guys. A little new-blog-browsing and my butt got kicked right into gear. I mean Christmas is gonna be here before we know it right, so before I start whipping out the lights and the reindeer I need to show you my pumpkins!

A couple weekends ago I went apple picking with some of the fam and at the farm was a great assortment of pumpkins in such cool, odd shapes and colors. Since it was still early I didn't want to go crazy buying pumpkins that may or may not have lasted until the 31st so I took it easy and bought just one beautifully classic orange guy.

He fit right in with my other two faux white pumpkins.

Then, as nature would have it, a few squirrels made it their personal mission to absolutely destroy my beautiful plump pumpkin by scratching a tiny hole, making it a little bigger every day, and then finally breaking through until I came home to this one day after work:

Such a sad day. But I am glad I didn't buy more at the farm that would have ultimately suffered the same fate.
Now I just need to replace him before Halloween with a true Jack-o-lantern or two.

In other pumpkin news, a few little white gourds have found happy homes around the house like on our stack of black books in the entry:

...and chilling on our window sill in the kitchen.

Ahh Fall :)
