Whew, what a weekend! First we had a wedding on Saturday for very good friends followed up that night by an early Christmas with some of Dan's out-of-country family. Sunday was the official present-opening day and we didn't finally hit the pillow until about one. Regardless, it's been great having them here and we're gonna do our best to spend as much time with them as we can before they leave again on Friday- boo.
Onto something fun and festive: our Christmas entry! I went very simple this year because this area tends to collect a lot of junk (keys, mail, random car parts) so it's nice to keep the surface pretty clear.
I love my silvery cone trees. Last year I bought the tall skinny guy before Christmas and the short fat one after at 50% off. Then just last week I was out at TJ Maxx and saw the third tree all by its lonesome in the Christmas section and knew I had to scoop it up or I'd regret it forever. Now my trio is complete and it makes me very happy.
The reindeer I bought probably five years ago at a store called Ten Thousand Villages which only sells fair trade items handmade all around the world.
A few scattered pinecones and we were ready to go!
