The Dark Side

With January upon us it seems that most everybody is looking to lighten things up in their homes. Maybe it's the snow, maybe it's the desire to purge and de-clutter after the Holidays, but one thing's for sure, white is certainly having its moment right now.

So why do I find myself craving the total opposite lately?

Every Pin I'm drawn to is moody and dark and the opposite of white. Trust me, I love a bright and clean room as much as the next girl but something inside me wants to make one room in my house stand out. Here's what I've been loving:

So tell me, how do you feel about dark walls? To tell you the truth, attempting to make perfectly straight lines across a white ceiling makes me sweat... but would it be worth it?
