Baking Cabinet {Revisited}

Lately I've been doing quite a bit more baking than I ever have before thanks to being home from work for the past six weeks. Every morning with my Nespresso latte (read about our coffee bar here) I like to have some sort of baked good, whether it be a scone, muffin, or some other treat. This has been the main cause of my need to organize our baking cabinet until it's just right. I know I only just organized this cabinet a couple weeks ago but I've already made a few changes to improve both the form and function of the space. I'm still loving my new cork board on the door but the shelves needed just a little tweaking. Like they're never "done." But thanks to a recent stock up of baking goods and a trip to the Dollar Tree I am loving this cabinet even more!

Just as a reminder, this is what we started with:

I picked up three of these medium sized air-tight canning jars at the Dollar Tree and used two of them to hold our brown sugar (the other is in the back right). I love their size and the fact that they're air tight so I don't have to worry about it going hard before I get a chance to use it all. I also stocked up on powdered sugar and stored it in two large glass jars I already had on hand (the second is in the back left). A little washi tape as labels and we were good to go!

The top shelf only changed a bit when I replaced my hot chocolate box with this white box, labeled of course.

To make room for my baking items on the middle shelf I had to move my Pyrex measuring cups down to the lower shelf, which in turn prompted the relocation of a couple of my teas. They simply moved into a bin above the microwave, the next cabinet over, and I just kept the most recently used teas where they were. I'm not much of a tea drinker myself so it's mostly for guests. And the white mug in front holds Stevia packets, also for guests.

All organized and I'm off to bake something.
